COLORED CONVENTION.--According - According to a call made through the WHIG a few weeks ago, there was a convention of colored men held in this city last week, which lasted two days, and which was numerously attended. Dr. J. B. Young presided, and Wm. F. Yardley and Peter Sliger acted as Secretaries. The proceedings, which will be published in pamphlet form, were characterized by harmonious action and good feeling. The object was the consideration of the future course to be pursued by the colored people of Tennessee. Those interested in the proceedings will do well to procure a printed copy, which we believe is now out.
