A convention of colored men met in Goldsboro, N. C., , composed of 300 delegates. Resolutions were adopted to the effect that while they do not favor the abandonment of any of the principles of the Republican party, and indorse the administration, they hail with pleasure the unmistakable evidence of a liberal movement in the North Carolina, and will support such liberal movement and join hands with the liberal men who have heretofore fore acted with the Democratic party, and who are willing to bury the dead past, in an earnest effort to build up the State and guarantee to all equal rights and privileges.
